Packing Guide

 

In order to be successful on a multi day expedition, proper packing is essential. Here we will outline the most important things to bring with you. We will break this up into two sections: 1) Day Pack and 2) Overnight Pack.

Day Pack

 

This is the bag that you will be carrying on your back each day while hiking. With this pack, it is important to be as light as possible while still carrying what you need for safety and comfort on the trail. Along with your Day Pack, there are some important items that you should be wearing.

  • Change of clothes

    Rain gear (Rain Jacket + Pants or Poncho)

    Extra socks

    Towel and Swimsuit (if swimming is available)

    Water bottle or Hydration Pack

    Hiking poles

    Sunscreen

    Baby wipes

    Back Pack Rain Cover

    Camera

    Journal/ Book

  • Sun protection (Sunglasses, Protective Clothing, Hat)

    Comfortable shoes with good grip

    Dress in Layers (it can be quite chilly in the mornings and extremely hot in the afternoons, it is important to dress in layers to be comfortable all day during the hike)

    Mosquito Net (the flies can be quite overwhelming during some sections of the track)

Overnight Pack

 

This is the bag where you will pack the majority of your supplies. We will carry this bag in our vehicle for you and you will have access to it every morning and every evening.

  • Clothing for 7 Days

    Change of clothes (warm clothes for the evening and light clothing for the day)

    Sleeping mat

    Sleeping bag

    Headlamp

    Extra Socks

    Flip flops

    Rain gear

    Comfortable hiking shoes
