My love for the outdoors began at a young age in my home country of Canada. I have always enjoyed camping, hiking and adventuring. After moving to Australia in late 2019, I was blown away by all that WA had to offer. From Kununurra to Karijini and all the way down to the southern cape, I fell in love with the landscape. After many excursions on the Bibbulmun track, the decision was made to hike the Cape to Cape Track for the first time. The experience was life changing for me and I was left with a long lasting glow from the journey. After discussing with my partner, Leidy, we decided that we needed to share this experience with as many people as possible. With this in mind, we decided to follow our passion for adventure and attempt to make a living doing what we love.

I documented my most recent adventure on the Cape to Cape here

Since I was young, I have always enjoyed being around nature. My passion for hiking began in my beloved country of Colombia. Whenever I wanted to have a time of connection and serenity, I would to go to myparent’s farm. There, we enjoyed a spectacular landscape, feeling the cold of the mountains, taking care of the animals, picking fruit from the harvest and making food directly from the field was something that filled my heart.

Being born in a country like Colombia leads you to have a different perspective on life, the history of my country is marked by war, poverty and violence, but at the same time it is such an incredible and culturally rich place whose people face many adversities but always has a smile and love to offer you. In search of a better future, I embarked on the best adventure of my life.

I moved to Australia in 2015 not knowing anyone, having basic English with savings to survive for a month.

I started from scratch, I learned and adapted, and I will always be grateful to this country for receiving me and teaching me so much.

Australia has brought out my adventurous side, traveling alone, getting to know beautiful islands in the state of Queensland or incredible scenes such as the 12 Apostles, breath-taking rugged cliffs carved by the sea, and its panoramic views across the rich and azure waters in Victoria or the spectacular blue mountains national park in New South Wales. However, the icing on the cake has been Western Australia.

Western Australia has captured my heart, it has so much to offer us. I have been very fortunate to be able to explore this wonderful land with my partner, Jaredcito. We as travellers are always looking for adventure, looking for authenticity and immersing ourselves in new cultures, respecting and valuing what Pachamama (Mother Nature) offers us. In this moment of a global pandemic, I have reflected a lot on what we need. Specifically, moments with purpose and awareness. Aventura Australia is a way to contribute to a conscious and sustainable trip. It is the dream of sharing the most beautiful landscapes that Cape to Cape has, many of them are full of colors, contrasts, and such a diverse fauna and flora. A life changing experience where the fundamental thing is to enjoy simplicity.
